About World Field Epidemiology Day
Coordinated by TEPHINET, World Field Epidemiology Day is a global movement to recognize and raise awareness of the vital role of field epidemiologists in protecting the health of populations and advancing global health security, and to advocate for increased investment in field epidemiology training, research, and professionals. The second World Field Epidemiology Day will be celebrated on September 7, 2022.

About the CDC Office of Global Noncommunicable Diseases
The Office of Global Noncommunicable Diseases (OGNCD) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) supports FETPs in China, Ethiopia, India, and Thailand to enhance workforce capacity in noncommunicable disease epidemiology, surveillance, evaluation, scientific communications, and related public health activities. The OGNCD leads and facilitates the development, adaptation, and delivery of NCD-focused trainings, coordinates professional development opportunities, and supports dissemination at scientific meetings.

Submission deadline: If you are interested in submitting a manuscript for this supplement, please submit a pre-submission enquiry at this link by January 7, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. (23:59) Eastern Time (GMT/UTC-5). This information will allow us to verify the suitability of your work.
Approval notifications will be sent by January 31, 2022. Selected authors will be asked to write and submit the first draft by March and their final article by May 31, 2022.
Journal Information
The supplement will be published in an internationally recognized, peer-reviewed journal specializing in noncommunicable diseases. There will be no publishing fees associated with this journal. Further information on the partner journal will be announced at a later date.
Target Audience
Interested readers will include the FETP community and the general public interested in cardiovascular field epidemiology work. FETP readers will include trainees/fellows and alumni, program officials, affiliates; and in-country decision-makers interested in key findings from the evaluation of surveillance systems, original research articles, and reports on innovations and new methodologies in CVD field epidemiology.
